Youth groups and Boy Scouts are our specialty! Sailing is at the center of everything we do on the "Rosa Del Mar"!. We have taken dozens of youth on sailing trips from Key Largo to Key West. Our largest client is the Boy Scouts of America National High Adventure Sea Base on Islamorada, FL (www.bsaseabase.org) Each day your captain and mate provide sailing instruction using our own curriculum, a program specially adapted to sailing the waters of the Florida Keys. Sailing may be confusing at first, but you'll quickly learn with hands-on experience. Within days you'll be speaking the language as you trim the sails, steer a course and navigate your way to a protected harbor. Sailing a 41' yacht will teach you teamwork, planning and responsibility. You and your crew will be rewarded with a sense of achievement, an appreciation of the sea and an adventure you won't find anywhere else.
MARINE BIOLOGY CHARTERS
While sailing on the "Rosa Del Mar" you'll be surrounded by the perfect marine biology classroom-the crystal clear waters and coral reefs of the Florida Keys, America's only living barrier reef! Our reefs are just teeming with extraordinary sea creatures and plant life. And you'll be snorkeling right there with them! Our staff marine biologist will educate you and other students through guided tours of our spectacular reefs. You will also learn about sea grass and mangrove complexes that are indigenous to the Keys. Our marine science program is built around or sailing program so there will be plenty to do!
6 DAY/5 NIGHT SAILING TRIP IS $4,600. THIS INCLUDES ALL FOOD, PROVISIONS AND ACCOMODATIONS ON THE BOAT. ONE NIGHT AT A MARINA IN MARATHON AND KEY WEST IS INCLUDED IN THIS PRICE. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CREW IS 6 WITH AT LEAST ONE ADULT LEADER. A 50% DEPOSIT AT LEAST A MONTH IN ADVANCE IS REQUIRED TO SECURE THE RESERVATION.
